Georgia Touring

I took Melody around Atlanta yesterday, or just to the Coke museum but that is basically a majority of Atlanta’s tourist market.

So today I decided that we should go tubing in Helen, Georgia.  This was to bring back memories in Hondoras of our cave tubing trip – instead I ended up being sunburned.

Next we went to walk around Helen, where I took the previous picture from the bridge.  The main attractions in town were: #1 tubing, #2 Anna Ruby Falls or Raven Cliff Falls – none told us the importance of the German town.  Instead I decided that we should get some authentic German food, but we ended up only being able to get authentic German beer – enter Augustiner!

We then preceeded to the number two attraction of Anna Ruby Falls and Raven Cliff Falls.  Both were phenomenal – Melody was amazed of all the water that was surrounding us.

As we walked up the trail, I spotted an opportunity to try out some long exposures, but devastated from last weeks incident of my tripod mount being lost, while being hand held.

And after our half a mile hike up some paved road, we reached the falls.  It was swarming with mosquitoes and my sunburned skin was acting up.  I felt like I was being bitten left and right.

Then we decided that we were up to the challenge of a 5 mile hike, but it ended up being pretty brutal.  There were some beautiful water falls, but a lot were not accessible by leg due to large drops.  Also it was getting difficult to rest my camera on my knee only.  All my images turned out to be a bit blurry after since light was becoming scarce but this is what I ended up with.
