Badfish at the Variety Playhouse

I had the opportunity to review and photograph Badfish this weekend at the Variety Playhouse. I wasn’t really expecting much, except for a cover band of a very well known Sublime. But I got way more out of it, not expecting the variety that was given. The lead singer had a feel good song, blending both reggae and rock and roll.

The bassist on the other hand, wasn’t as animated but was fun still to take a picture of.

I was really loving the lighting that the Variety Playhouse offered, but was upset by the lack of space for me to work with. Here is another picture of the Bassist.

I decided to work my way to the other side of the stage, and got some decent shots that were gone after a few minutes.

People started to crowd in, and I wasn’t able to get close enough to the stage. I learned that next time I should just stay in front.

Just a view of the whole band. A view of the great front and back lighting.
