El Matador

I am back in Los Angeles to meet up with my girlfriend for a long vacation together. We started off with a vow to try to only cook this week. I made her a delicious turkey burger with some french bakes (french fries).

I also got a 10 stop neutral density filter for my birthday a while back. So I was trying to test it out with some long exposures during the day. Didn’t work out quite as I wanted but hopefully I will be able to try it out some more. But it does give a cool cloudy look for the water.

I guess this would be a main reason for using it. To get a nice soft feeling with the ocean. We’ll see if it works out when I go to Santa Monica in a few days.

Well as Melody would call us, Sunset Chasers, we tried to get the best light. Here is a picture of both of us before a ton of people showed up to ruin all of our shots.

Last of the day didn’t prove to be any better. I had to try to light up the rock with my strobe. The best light was gone. I will show you a picture of what it would have looked like, but a person there to ruin the moment after this photo.

Thanks Melody for this.
