I have been trying to improve my portrait work while taking photos for the Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine. I can see some slight improvements but hope that I will get some more solid shots later. This time I was able to photograph Alex Gutierrez of the Georgia Tech police. Everyone has a bad impression on police officers, but they are people as well. The hard upfront demeanor is just part of the job. First I wanted to get some environmental shots, so I decided to get some of him and his car. I took a few but only liked this one.
Next he got his segway out, which he uses to patrol the streets of campus.
I just like detail shots, so I took this one.
Lastly, I wanted to leave with him flashing his badge. It is somewhat of a professional and strong image.

He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, or Georgia Tech, with a bachelors in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
