Journeys Around Ximen

Melody had a plan to visit one of her best friends in California, Sammy, at Ximen. So we had a plan to be around that area to still venture around Taiwan as well as be able to fulfill Melody’s request. So we headed off to Long Shan Temple in Taipei. This temple helps answer visitor’s questions with a fortune like message. But instead it relies on praying and chance.

Xin Dian

Another visit around to remember my grandparents brought us around Xin Dian, Taiwan. As my parents were busy, my brother and I went to the rope bridge in Xin Dian. I thought it was pretty cool, which may have been a little busier and prettier at night. But overall I was glad to see that there was so much Taiwan has to offer in such a small area.

Better Days Await.

This is a post for the remembrance of my grandmother. One of the main purposes for my trip to Taiwan was to visit her and show her that all was well. It was a tragedy to be informed a week before our trip there that she had passed. I haven’t had a very personal relationship with her recently, although she was a major part of my childhood. I am glad to see that there are so many that care for her, with such an elaborate ceremony.

Lake Tahoe

I had another wonderful vacation with the Tsai family; the destination this time was Lake Tahoe. We had to drive around 10 hours to get to our final destination of David Walley’s Hot Springs resort.

Georgia Tech received their first major bowl bid in 40 years with their 39-34 win over Clemson in the ACC championship game. This win gives Georgia Tech their first championship victory since 1990 and a berth in the Orange Bowl.
