Alice in Chains was performing at the Tabernacle on Thursday, February 25, 2010 with a second show the following day. I was excited because a pretty big name was coming in town and I frequent the Tabernacle for reviews now.

B.O.B. and Goodie Mob at the Tabernacle
February 23, 2010The Tabernacle usually hosts mostly alternative rock bands, but there comes a time when a real gem comes into the venue, and that’s when I discovered B.O.B. aka Bobby Ray. He opened for Goodie Mob, but I was just swept by both his performance and music. It is highly recommended if you really like rap that is really from the heart, somewhat like Lupe Fiasco. Well I can’t really explain much about it, but the lyrics are true to heart, not trash like the top 40 songs you hear on the radio.
“Senior” Portraits at Tech Tower
February 21, 2010Eric Mansfield, a fellow technique photographer, and I decided to play around with lights tonight. I wanted to get some pictures around Tech Tower before we left so I figured we use this location. Here are a couple that I liked, and I am hoping to get some more portraits to play around with. I know they are some lame poses, but oh well it works!
GT vs Alabama
February 21, 2010Georgia Tech lacrosse moves to 4-0 with a win over Alabama with a score of 13-6. This was my first ever lacrosse game and I was pretty excited to see how much action there was. I would say that the game would be a combination of both basketball and soccer. It is actually a pretty intense game, and very physical.
#19 GT vs. #4 Duke
February 21, 2010The Georgia Tech women’s basketball team had a day to support the efforts to prevent and cure breast cancer with their pink jerseys. I thought this would be a good opportunity to get some interesting photos. Well I had a busy day already and only was able to shoot the second half of the game. But it was an exciting one, with Georgia Tech in the lead for a few minutes before losing 64-50 against #4 Duke.
GT vs. Missouri State
February 21, 2010I was able to attend the Georgia Tech baseball season opener on Friday, but wasn’t able to stay as long as I wanted. I want to try to stay for a whole game to work on creating some nicer images this season. Well here is what I came up with for the few innings that I stayed.

February 17, 2010Georgia Tech ended their two game losing streak with a 68-51 win over ACC conference team UNC. This also was the first season sweep against UNC since 1995.
Flogging Molly at the Tabernacle
February 15, 2010Flogging Molly played at the Tabernacle on February 13, 2010 for the celtic fans of Atlanta. I expected a slightly more intense performance from this punk rock band, and a little more hectic crowd but i can’t complain that much since it was still a good concert. The instrument lineup was great, with an accordion and banjo making an appearance. First up is David King, the lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist getting the audience into their performance.

February 14, 2010The Technique had a photo pass to a motocross freestyle event and I had to go. This seemed to be some change of pace from what I usually take photos of and I was really excited. Well I had to get permission from my girlfriend first to see if she wanted to go, and she was excited also. So off we went, a little late so we weren’t able to get to the floor but we managed to get some pretty good seats. I wish there wasn’t the Visa advertisement in the background, but I guess this is the best I could have done with what I had. Enjoy the pictures!
