Atreyu and Hollywood Undead at the Tabernacle

It was freezing cold today in Atlanta, and I got into the venue late because of press pass issues. But we only got to take pictures of the first band, the sleeping, for one song. Then we were forced to stand outside for nearly an hour. I felt like I was turning into an icicle.

Here is the view of the Tabernacle in the inside. It’s pretty sweet that they changed a church into a nice little music venue. And this is of course great for sound!

Well my first try with Escape the Fate, and here is the lead vocalist.

Next up is what I thought was suppose to be the headline for the show, Atreyu. The lead vocalist of Atreyu saluting the crowd.

The drummer had a little platform that raised him up above everyone else. All I could see was his head, but it was a pretty sweet drum setup.

I thought this picture was classic, with the guitarist in the foreground and the drummer in the background.

A real eye opener was the next band, Hollywood Undead. I didn’t know what to expect when they said masks, rap, and rock. I was just blown away by their performance and really liked their style. You guys should check them out!

An example of the masks they were wearing.

An I <3 ATL shirt? Priceless! Especially for the fans at the Tabernacle.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but this was an epic stage dive. This guy just jumped into the crowd and crowd surfed. It might have been a little more exciting in person then in picture.

Last, a view of the pit, the separation of band and fan.

Dude, this is a phenomenal set. You have an amazing eye for concert photos.

Love the wide guitarist and drums shot; do you have one with the focus on the guitarist?

Also, the crowd surfing shot: Incredible.

Eric Turner

I second Joey’s comments, great stuff!
