I had an opportunity to take some portraits for GT Alumni magazine and was introduced to Jarek Rossignac. He currently is involved in a group that does Geometry modeling, Geometry compression, Shape analysis, Shape smoothing, Motion smoothing, Morphing, Feature Animation, Human-Shape Interaction, Medical data segmentation, Surgery planning, Boolean optimization, CSG Rendering on GPU, Hierarchical patterns. There have been some pretty sweet projects for Disney, and his students have been subsequently hired there.
I learned that he loves to travel and therefore gets a lot of neat souvenirs.
