I was pretty excited to be asked to cover the New York Yankees when they visited Los Angeles, but I was more excited by the timing of it. This was during the September 11th reunion. The Yankees have been giving hope to a state, and a country through their perseverance. It also gave hope to a state and nation devastated by the September 11th tragedy.
