After a grueling 15 hour drive from Atlanta to Niagara Falls, New York, we woke up for another long day walking around the park. I was anticipating a great view with vast amounts of water, and my wish came true. There are two sides of this huge valley, with the American falls located in New York as seen below, with Horseshoe falls in the background.

This is a view of the walkway for Maid of the Mist that lets you get pretty close to the American falls.

We were able to board the Maid of the Mist for a personal encounter with Horseshoe falls. Here is a view on board with the American falls in the background.

And Horseshoe falls which is simply breathtaking.

The people on the American side admiring the falls.

Observation tower, which leads you down to the Maid of the Mist on the American side.

And Cave of the Winds, which takes you down into the falls, but a view from the bottom.

Here is the actual wooden walkway through the tour.

And the end, with a shower of opportunities to get wet.

We also went to the Niagara Falls aquarium, which was a little small. But still housed a lot of different marine animals such as these cute fish.

Horseshoe falls from the Canadian side.

And a view of the fireworks show on the bridge connecting Canada and the USA.
how come some people had yellow ponchos and others had blue? those fish are the most adorable fishies!
Kelvin,
These are truly beautiful images of the Falls, amongst the best I’ve seen. I am a guide at the Falls who provides walking tours. I would like to use some of your images on my web site, with your permission and a link back to your blog.
Could you e-mail me and let me know if this is possible? Several of the images are striking and capture the falls in a unique fashion. Please advise.
