Redwood National Park

Redwood National Park is my last stop on my move across the country. It has been a long journey, but I have grown to appreciate nature and the National Park conservation effort even more. I approached the Redwoods like any other National Park, expecting an entrance and a few rangers to greet me, but I received none of this. It is rather a collection of state parks that produce this wonderful National Park. We arrived late the first day, just checking into our cabin.

One of the burned trees that is still alive. My mother is in most of these photos as a reference point.

Morning Fog.

Upwards view of the massive trees.

The forest bed.

A tree trunk that isn’t typical to other regions.

Textures of both the bark and the trunk’s of the Redwood trees.

Our 7 mile day hike had a scenic point with very walkable trails. It is hard to reproduce the natural beauty of this place, and the uniqueness of the park is mostly the size of the trees.

And a fallen tree to illustrate the width of these living giants.

Hopefully we’ll be there soon. I’m thinking Muir National Park or Sequoia again. We are definitely going to have to visit King’s Canyon though!

Wanna say something?
