Just got back from a wonderful and awful weekend at Jekyll Island. It was a nice and relaxing venture, being able to spend the weekend somewhat more carefree then usual. We decided to go when I was in Allentown, interviewing for a full-time position at Air Products. So I booked a hotel and off we were after I arrived back in Atlanta. The first day we went to the Sea Turtle conservatory where we saw very decrepit turtles being rehabilitated.
Afterwards, we decided to browse all the little shops, but realized that it was a little too late – since all the shops were starting to close. But this was after we bought some ice cream and turtles to eat. So we decided to go and get some dinner, which was a culmination of rotisserie chicken, caesar salad, and carrots and hummus and watched some Donnie Darko.
The next day, I was attacked by millions of bugs while trying to enjoy a sunset at the Driftwood Beach. I literally have hundreds of bits on my body now, and wasn’t even able to see the actual sun rise. Well, I guess it might have been worth it, but right now I am regretting and suffering the consequences.
