So today, our destination was Zion National Park, but we were suprised by a new park that housed the Kolob Canyon. It is amazing how these canyons are formed and the true beauty of them. This is the view from the top of the road, of the whole canyon range.
I decided to go down and take another picture of the edge of the canyon. I was just fascinated by the way that large chunks fall off to form large daggers inside the rock.
I wanted to stay for sunset, but I forgot that we should be facing west to get the beautiful colors from the sun. So instead I tried to get a moonrise picture and also some of the stars. You can see some of them moving, a good introduction to my star circles hopefully being produced tomorrow.
Another first is this picture, where I tried to get the effect of some falling stars. Hopefully I can get this one perfect for tomorrow night.
