After a devastating loss last week, Georgia Tech is back with vengeance on their minds. This week with another ACC opponent, UNC. Before the game gets started the Ramblin Wreck, Georgia Tech’s reconditioned Model T, comes blazing out onto the field.
Preston Lyons starts the beginning of the day with a nice run down the middle. I love the action presented when a back runs straight through the line.
The Technique wants more pictures of the opposing team, which is good practice for any other game, for future articles. Here is the quarterback making a quick throw to his half back.
Derrick Morgan, our star defensive end, tries to pull a spin move to create pressure on the UNC’s quarterback.
Nesbitt with the carry, or shall we say option, trying to evade the defenders.
Stephen Hill on the wide receiver screen receives an unnecessary grab.
Typical shot of the line, just wanted one to say I have one. Not creative but something for my memory sake.
Anthony Allen avoids the defender as he makes his way to a first down. A great acquisition during the off season to get yet another solid A-Back.
This play made me have more faith in our pass defense. With a big play on the line, Georgia Tech’s safety Burnett and Reid knock the ball out of the receiver’s hands. A close one, since they first ruled this play as a completion.
I wanted to get more pictures of Georgia Tech’s backfield, but only ended up to get a good picture of the UNC’s running back.
Fumble recovered by Georgia Tech, forced by Derrick Morgan.
Dwyer, showing his potential as he drags defenders with him. He has been shut down mostly in the previous weeks, but had a great showing with roughly 8 yards per carry.
Would have been epic shot, if the referee didn’t get into the frame and block the receiver on subsequent shots. Also a very scary pass, as I thought this was the start of our downfall, with the Jacket’s not able to defend the long passes.
Paul Johnson having a talk with the offense. Not pleased entirely with it’s performance, but a win is a win.
Nesbitt’s second touchdown of the game, sealing the victory. He was unstoppable, which proves his toughness as a running quarterback.
And the team celebrates as he shrugs it off.
I’ve never shot in the rain, and this was scary. I had all my equipment and it started pouring. But I still wanted to get some more pictures, as I thought this would add a little more drama to the already intense game.
