Many people don’t know, but it has been a year since I met my wonderful girlfriend. It was this very pizza spot, d’Amore, where she first caught my eye with her “whole” pizza. We had to revisit when I visited her, and we had to get another “whole” pizza.
Picture from last year, and the resemblance. (will be updated when I get ahold of the picture)
After the visit to our first dining location, we headed to the Getty Villa. Although we had already visited the Getty last year, I thought it would be a great idea to have another go at a similar place. But the artwork wasn’t as stunning as the architecture of the place. Notice the detail put onto the ceiling of this place, simply magnificent.
Also I was loving the columns, which I didn’t get a interesting picture of. But I did manage to illustrate the simplicity of the forum. Stucco, columns, and tile roofs, just classic.
And the grand entrance to the pool was amazing. I wish modern architecture could resemble some of the classical detailing. But instead we are going toward more simple, rather then elegant.
And the other side of the pool, just love the garden area. The atmosphere makes everyone feel welcome.
Hermes and his foot. I can relate with my blistered feet when I used to run cross country.
The Lansdowne Herakle had a room to itself. Presented marvelously with a grand tile floor.
The garden was full of fresh flowers. I couldn’t emphasize how amazingly well kept everything was. IT seemed like it was all place for a reason, and kept in pristine condition.
