The opener for this years, and hopefully subsequent years, homecoming concert was Hot Chelle Rae. It was a tough start to a “promising” assignment due to tough lighting to deal with. Although they might not be known as well, they produce some pretty sweet tunes. Here is the lead singer looking like the SNL skit.

Next up is the the bass, playing the funky grooves. Didn’t like how all the mics were up in their face and in the middle. I think I was able to deal with this issue somewhat.

The lead guitarist playing his solo. This band had tons of energy and was a great show. I think you guys should check them out and maybe other concerts they may be playing at.

To the main event, Third Eye Blind! Wow, I was blown away by the performance. I didn’t expect this energy and great music that I missed from high school. I think I have a re-found love for this band.

I don’t know, this is just my favorite shot of the series.

I thought I would get some wide angle shots as well as some of the close ups. We were literally up against the stage which gave rise to some dynamic pictures.

When this guy first entered the stage, I thought he was a bum and was fascinated with him.

And yes, he performed the whole concert with no shoes on. This was the first thing I noticed about the singer.

I thought this was an epic pose for the fans. I hate how we were crowded by the security which makes the picture a little less attractive to me.
