When I heard that we had to put in names for the UNC game, I had to get a pass. Georgia Tech had just beat Duke and was looking to be dominant in the ACC. I ad the day planned out to only having 2 hours of photo time and 12 hours of constant driving. It started at 5 am due to anticipation, which caused my lack of sleep. I suprisingly didn’t get tired until the last hour or so on our way back. Well when we got on campus, I could feel the energy – this was a basketball campus. I walked onto the court an hour early and was greeted by this enthusiastic group of fans! This is what I call devotion.
The game started off being extremely physical. We knew that both teams wanted the win. Below is a shot of Georgia Tech guard Mfon Udofia reaching for the loose ball.
A typical shot of Georgia Tech basketball coach Paul Hewitt.
Player of the game, Georgia Tech guard Iman Shumpert driving in the lane for a score. He ended the game 10-17 and 30 points.
Huge block from North Carolina forward Ed Davis. One of the better blocks I’ve seen in person.
North Carolina’s John Henson was in for a limited time and this was his only score. But I love the shot that I got.
Georgia Tech forward Gani Lawal going for the open jam!
During halftime I wanted to get a shot of the stadium. But most of the patrons were out of their seat. Better then my pregame photos of the stadium at least.
Georgia Tech forward Gani Lawal evading the defender for another layup. He ended the game with 12 points.
