Georgia Tech had another home game against Kentucky State, which is coached by a Georgia Tech Alum. There wasn’t much hype due to the non-conference game but still provided some pretty solid images. Georgia Tech ended up defeating Kentucky State with a final score of 98-50. The game started and ended with the same tempo, with Georgia Tech forward Gani Lawal easily overpowering the Kentucky State defense scoring 16 points in the game. With his effort, he has become the sixteenth player in school history to score 1,000 points.
Although Georgia Tech forward Derrick Favors didn’t provide many points, he ended the day with a career high of 4 assist.
