A quick three day weekend landed us in Chicago. The first night that we arrived, we were able to go and take some sunset pictures of the Chicago skyline. It was quite beautiful, and I’m hoping to also maybe make a large print of this.
The next day, I saw something online about a free walking tour in Old Town Chicago. Of course we had to take advantage of this, and it was quite interesting. Here are two photos of the inside of St Michael.
We also walked through the neighborhood and saw many interesting houses with beautiful architecture. Here is a house that had a stage coach garage, probably for a wealthy individual back in the day.
And a Cute yellow house that I really liked.
Taste of Chicago is an annual event that occurs the week before the July Fourth weekend and extends to that Sunday. The next few photos are from the Taste of Chicago.
The Buckingham Fountain, as seen in Married with Children.
The long line for the Chicago Rainbow cone, which was because of the 90+ degree weather in the Chicago Area.
And my dinner that night. But really its just my antibiotics that I am hating right now. I hope this isn’t the reason for some of my body pains and headaches recently.
The real dinner, Prime Rib at Lawry’s
