On the road again, off to Mount Rushmore National Monument. This was another excruciating 15 hour drive from Chicago to the nearby city of Rapid City, South Dakota. I wasn’t very excited, but here I am pretending to be.
Well we got into Rapid City late, so there was no time to explore. But the next day we saw this cool Art Corridor, or alley. I was quite impressed with all the graffiti on the walls.
The same day we made our 15 mile journey to Mount Rushmore National Monument. I was expecting a huge slab of rock, because that’s what you see in the movies and pictures, but this is all I got. An entrance to the viewing area equipped with all 50 state flags. I’m also sorry if you expected all the ordinary shots of the monument, but it won’t be shown here.
The more “normal” looking shot.
