My trip the Peru has to be broken town into different days, there was just too much to cover in just one. This is the first day we arrived onto the La Amatista, which marked the beginning of our Amazonian expeditions. The night we arrived in Nauta was also of significants, with mayor’s campaigning for positions. Here was a part of the parade that we got stuck into.

When we arrived onboard the La Amatista, they greeted us with a welcome drink of Pisco Sour. This local drink is a brandy type liqueur that is made from grape skins.

The next day was the beginning of our long adventure, with our first expedition on the river.

Binoculars were necessary for birdwatching, demonstrated by our friend from Canada, Doug.

Tea, since I am not an avid coffee drinker, which was unheard of in Peru.

The cruise ship.

Sorry if I do not know the animals I am posting, I will try to look them up but was more concentrated on shooting then memorizing names. Hawk.

In flight.

The excursion boats, which were two for the 28 guests.

Local merchants.

We saw alot of these upon the Amazon, due to their limited forms of transportation.

Another bird in flight.

Cool down.

Sunset that night.
