Los Angeles hosted a new event this weekend, Artistanal LA. It celebrates the wonders of “local handmade artistanal” culinary delights. I was a little disappointed of the overall venue after attending other various LA conventions. There were not any of the advertised brews or foods, but only a sparse selection of actual meals. It was rather a sustainable dessert show. Well here are a few photos I took of this small venue. Melody was excited while getting out of the car.
The entrance into artistanal LA.
Jennifer Chong and Melody taking a few photos.
I love stencils/cutouts so this sign was awesome.
Desserts.
Spices.
Pasta, Lasagna, and Rissotto.
Chocolates.
I don’t really remember what this booth had, but I remember the dried meats.
More chocolates, but these can be custom labeled.
Ice Cream sandwiches.
Spices for some bacon.
More desserts, which looked great.
Workshops were also going on every hour. We didn’t attend any though.
Melody and Jennifer decided to get some tacos for lunch. The other lunch venue, paninis, ran out earlier. I was really disappointed how some booths weren’t prepared for all the people.
Jennifer wanted to try one of the ice cream sandwiches, but it was ice hard. I guess they should have not frozen the ice cream but set a different temperature in the freezer.
