I had a rough weekend, with my final event on Sunday. I will first preface the situation with the night before. I went out to a friend’s house in Hermosa beach with Melody for some Halloween celebrations. I knew this was a bad idea, but wanted to go for Melody. Well, a 5:30 am wake up call was necessary to catch my 7:00am flight up to SFO. Guess what? I went to sleep around 3:30 and overslept, got up around 6:21am freaking out. Fortunately the airport was only 15 minutes away with no security. Well I arrived in SFO and was picked up from a fellow US Presswire Photog, Cary Edmondson, to go to Oakland Alameda County Coliseum for the Seattle Seahawks vs Oakland Raiders. Well we got there early to setup, the internet situation was a bit tricky since we were situated inside the dugout of the Oakland A’s but it ran smoothly. I knew I wanted to get some stock images in, especially of former USC head coach and current Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.
And Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden, a true beast.
Later I was looking around for some interestingly dressed fans. Although it was Halloween, the fans seemed to dress the same as normal.
Except this guy had a hanging Seahawk, in a noose.
Gorilla in a mist of fans, all holding their heads up for the national anthem.
And some crazy fans that wouldn’t shut up for the national anthem, but its all part of the atmosphere. They just got a little ahead of themselves.
I had to get used to the feel of the NFL since it was my first, but it is not that much different from the college game. Here is a photo of the Oakland Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell.
Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Craig Terrill sacking Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, the theme of the game. Seattle couldn’t put a scoring drive up almost the entire game.
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawyn Lynch also wasn’t able to get any yards on any of his carries.
As seen here, with the Oakland Raiders defense just manhandling him.
Another image, this time more stock of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasslebeck.
Seattle Seahawks running back Justin Forsett escaping the grasp of Oakland Raiders linebacker Kamerion Wimbley.
Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden getting held down by Seattle Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu.
Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden avoiding the tackle from Seattle Seahawks corner back Marcus Trufant.
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey with a catch guarded by Seattle Seahawks defensive back Kennard Cox.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate catching a ball over Oakland Raiders corner back Jeremy Ware.
Oakland Raiders running back Marcel Reece tackled by Seattle Seahawks corner back Marcus Trufant, Reece had a great day with one reception for a touchdown.
Oakland Raiders running back Michael Bush running between the tackles.
Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey celebrates with running back Marcel Reece after a long touchdown pass.
The Seattle Seahawks had to play catch up, but it was too little too late. Seattle’s emerging wide receiver Mike Williams catching his only pass of the game past Oakland Raiders free safety Michael Huff.
Oakland Raiders safety Stevie Brown catches an onside kick attempt from Seattle Seahawks kicker Olindo Mare, which was ruled down by contact after he ran in for a touchdown.
Another gallant effort by Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawyn Lynch, his only positive run of the day.
Seattle Seahawks running back Leon Washington was the only productive back of the day, but through kick returns.
Oakland Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell with the pass off to running back Michael Bush.
I finally saw some good light coming through, with this spotlight on Oakland Raiders running back Michael Bush. It made me excited to get somewhat of a special shot after all the horrendous lighting during the day.
Oakland Raiders running back pounds in the ball for a touchdown. It started off as a very low scoring game, but ended up as a blow out with the Raiders winning 33-3.
