Last week, Melody’s friend Katie invited use to go wine tasting with her boyfriend, Carl, and co-workers. Since we all live in southern California and didn’t want to drive 6 hours up to Napa Valley, we decided to get a visit to Temecula, California. There are many wineries in this area, and we were able to visit four, well actually three since we were kicked out of one. Our day started off with a long drive to Yorba Linda to meet up with Katie. Katie, Carl, Melody, and I were in one car. We actually arrived at Temecula pretty early so we stopped by Baron’s grocery store to pick up some cashews, blueberry bread, chips, and lettuce….. I saw this huge barrel of protein powder, and the thought of “bro-tein” came up.

Melody super excited to see decent prices.

Our first winery stop was at South Coast winery. This was a beautiful location with a walkway covered in vibrant flowers. They also had one of the best bartenders which gave us practically all you can drink.

The grape juice flavored wine that Melody loved. I got a shot of her bottle with some festive pumpkins.

Mount Palomar had one of the best looking vineyards, unfortunately they kicked us out for picnicking on their premises. We were going to give them roughly 20 peoples worth of business, which amounted to about 200 dollars but I guess that doesn’t count. Don’t come here with a large group, especially if you plan on bringing your own food.

We also went to Wilson Creek winery, which was very cool due to its ambiance. Barrels surrounded us full of wine, and bucket full of corks. It felt like you were actually making the wine with them

Drink tickets for wine tasting. There is also this almond joy shot that is pretty good, it comes in an all chocolate shot glass that you actually eat.

The sunset the burned the sky as we were leaving wine country.
