The duel of the losing teams, the Detroit Pistons were 2-6 and Los Angeles Clippers 1-8 coming into this game. I didn’t know what to expect, because my first NBA game covered was for the highly covered Los Angeles Lakers. This was a completely different atmosphere, with no stars or die-hard fans. The Detroit Pistons beat the Los Angeles Clippers in overtime with a final score of 113-107. The game started off with a tip off with Detroit Pistons center Ben Wallace and Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin going up for the ball.

I was amazed to see a past ACC player in the west coast, because I covered Georgia Tech basketball back in the day. Los Angeles Clippers forward Al-Farouq Aminu was from Wake Forest, and his brother played for Georgia Tech.

I had to try to cover both teams, since I didn’t know who was going to win. Since there was plenty of space available compared to the Lakers game, I was able to switch sides every quarter to get an even amount of both teams. Los Angeles Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe with a layup.

I was getting bored of the standard 70-200 shots that you get, so I decided to bring my 24-70 out for a different look. Unfortunately I was attempting to do a floor remote but was denied, which would have produced both my tele and wide shots, but this is also a good alternative.
