On May 20, there was a solar eclipse that would been seen around the world. This wasn’t an ordinary eclipse, but one that was a “ring of fire,” where the moon was directly in line with the sun. I wasn’t prepared, since I found out a few days before, to shoot this event. I still gave it a go thanks to my friend Dustin for the access. I really wanted to get a timelapse of the sun and the downtown skyline, little did I know this would be a very difficult feat. Instead I was able to make a composite of the moon’s progression through the sun’s path. I will update the post tonight with a few photos of my location that I shot during that day, I hope I can still find them.

Here is the view of downtown from my location, where the moon had already passed and the sun was setting. I was really hoping for a setting eclipse shot, this would have given me the best possible image.

I also went around town to shoot some skyline shots of Downtown LA for another friend, Josh, for a project he was doing. I loved this shot next to Dodger Stadium, next time I will have to go there during a game.
