I loved to go outside and get a few shots of the Belmont Pier and around Belmont Shore when there is a little color in the sky. These are times, when I’m not really planning or feeling like going out, but I can just walk down the block and get the gorgeous sunsets anyways. Here are a few from the last year that I shot, peering out the window before the colors reach their peak.
Although this isn’t the “fanciest” beach in SoCal, it’s lovely to me.
Under the pier.
I love people watching as well, getting the people in some of these shots help make it. Unfortunately the colors are covering the sky, but it definitely works.
And another sunset, one which was a lot more vibrant along the skies.
I sometimes spot other photographers doing the same thing. This time around I decided to try out my new lens handheld! Sometimes you can get some beautiful stuff when you aren’t over thinking it!
And then my shot, probably not the same as what the other guy was looking for.
Heading back, with a quick silhouette of the pier.
The three palms, that end the mark of my “daily” run.
and the last, I really wanted to catch some of the reflections off the sand. I wish there were a little more tones in-between, instead of a mostly monochromatic look. But it ended up looking interesting. I’ll be back next time with some shots around San Pedro, one of my favorite places to go in SoCal for sunsets.
