Timber mountain via Ice House Canyon is a 9 mile roundtrip loop that starts off near Mt. Baldy. Melody invited her friends Kristen and Sarah as well as her sister Marisa along. I ended up just looking to get a few photos, and not necessarily an entire trip recap. We headed up to Timber Mountain from the trailhead, which was nice and covered with lots of trees and other fauna.
As we head up to the Cucamonga Wilderness, where we were visited by these interesting redwood trees.
After around 5 miles, we head up to the Icehouse battle, where we could see that there was still a little bit of snow blanketing the mountains around us.
As we head up, the trees begin to thin and the view is much different from the dense forest below. Here is Melody right off the trail!
I ended up waiting a while back to get a few group shots across Icehouse Canyon where you can see little people walking along the typical Southern California trails.
And another, where you can see tiny little people on the top right as we continued to hike higher and higher until we reached the top of Timber Mountain.
Sarah, enjoying a break and getting ready to head back home!
